The Graduation Season Begins.....

This weekend, I was busy baking cupcakes for birthday parties, baby showers, and the beginning of open houses!

This particular open house was dear to my heart as Grand Rapids Christian High is my alma mater and I attended Hope College. I had so much fun with this one, especially coordinating the school colors with the cupcakes!

Congratulations, Austin!  Best of luck at Hope this fall!

I do have to apologize for the poor quality of the photos.... I am not a photographer by any means, and I took these with my camera on my phone!

April Showers bring......Cupcake orders! Thank you!

Whew! It has been a gorgeous weekend here in West Michigan, and I have been a cupcake baking machine! While I did not have time to take many photos of this weekends endeavors, I did manage to take one shot of the sweet cupcakes I created for a precious little girl.

Evie's mom asked for Vanilla with lavender tinted Vanilla Butter Cream. I hope the birthday girl enjoys them! I know I had a great time making them! Happy Birthday, Evie! Enjoy your special day!

I also would like to thank the Holland Junior Welfare League for letting myKakes be a part of their Bitter Sweet event at the Holland Area Arts Council! I hope the night was a success, and everyone got their fill of all things sweet while supporting a wonderful organization in our community!

Happy Valentines Day!

I just finished making these sweet little mini myKakes for a precious little girl's preschool class. Her mom chose vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter cream tinted pink, and then topped with a tiny fondant heart brushed with edible glitter....perfect for a little princess and her classmates!

Miller Baby Shower

A few photos from a recent order I had for another Baby Shower! They picked some great flavors including chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter cream and S'mores.

I also loved doing the green and yellow fondant flowers to match their theme!

Lock-Spoelhof Wedding

I recently had the honor of making the Cake Topper for my Sister's wedding. I was the Maid-of-Honor, so unfortunately, I had no time to make cupcakes for the Reception, but I did make the cake for the bride and groom to cut into.

I made the top look like the bouquets we Bridesmaids had and a simple vanilla Butter cream frosting with Strawberry filling was the flavor. It was fabulous!

The Day was perfect, the bride and groom were glowing, and I was privileged to be part of such an astounding day!

Congratulation's, Ryan and Rebekah!

A Garden Tea Wedding Shower

I recently made cupcakes for a Wedding Shower that was a Backyard Garden Tea. It was a lovely setting for a shower!
I set up my cupcakes with a mini floral arrangement in a teapot to fit the theme. It was simply beautiful! Everyone loved them and especially the cute little fondant and royal icing flowers!
